1.How does TrustMate® Escrow work?
TrustMate® Escrow uses a 5-step process to manage and safeguard financial transactions between two parties, from the initial agreement to the final disbursement of assets. Our 5-step process protects both the merchant and the consumer. The merchant is protected by guaranteeing the availability of the funds necessary to complete the transaction. The consumer is protected by ensuring that the payment is not disbursed to the merchant until the goods or services in question are confirmed to be satisfactory. Our role as a mediator encourages merchants and consumers to conduct business with confidence and trust.
2.Can TrustMate® Escrow be used for real estate?
Yes! TrustMate® Escrow Payment Services will act as the trusted third-party in any real estate transaction, whether the transfer involves apartments, house rentals, residential properties, commercial properties, or land.

7.Can a merchant or consumer cancel a transaction?
The merchant or consumer may begin the cancellation process without incurring any escrow fees if TrustMate® Escrow has not yet received funds from the consumer OR if 24 hours have not elapsed since our receipt of the funds. Either party can opt to cancel the transaction within the 24-hour free-cancellation grace period, which begins after the contract is finalized. Either party may initiate a cancellation by clicking the ‘Cancel Transaction’ option from their account transaction page. If transactions are not cancelled by either party within the grace period, TrustMate® Escrow will automatically asses the default escrow transaction fee which is dependent upon the transaction amount and varies between 2.5% and 6.5% (with a fee cap).
